Formigine, 10 October 2022 – Gruppo B&T, a system integrator for the ceramic and agglomerated quartz industry, recently took part in the exhibitions Tecna, Cersaie and Marmomac, completing a highly successful event season with world premiere presentations and booths crowded with experienced industry professionals.
Besides the participation in the three exhibitions, the Group also organised in-house events at bt-SPACE and an open house at bt-LAB, where it showcased its latest innovations based on an extensive R&D activity. The events were a great success, attracting large numbers of high-quality international visitors who showed keen interest in the Group’s technological offerings. In particular, at bt-LAB the Group unveiled B&T Quartz and its innovative turnkey technology for forming, finishing and digital decoration of agglomerated quartz slabs. With solutions that stand out for their unlimited aesthetic creativity and dimensional flexibility, this division meets the quartz market’s need for a new supplier able to compete on a global scale, backed by the Group’s well-established reliability and experience. Visitors also had the opportunity to get a close-up view of SUPERA® technology, a compact and versatile system originally developed for large slabs, which is now also available in the new high productivity RAPIDA version for more traditional ceramic sizes (20,000 m2 per day).
“The exhibitions and in-house events were a big success,” said Fabio Tarozzi, Chairman and CEO of Gruppo B&T. “Despite fears of a smaller turnout than in previous years, these events gave us a lot of satisfaction and allowed us to gain valuable insight. In particular, the return of Tecna as an in-person event provided a unique opportunity for us to consolidate our existing relationships and forge new connections, while reaffirming the event’s role as a leading global showcase for the sector. We have strengthened our position as the most complete system integrator in the Italian ceramic district and as the supplier with the strongest focus on the energy transition thanks to new energy-saving solutions and hydrogen-based kilns.”
At its booth at Tecna, which was much admired for its layout and space organisation, the Group showcased the most innovative green technologies for each stage of the production process, including the new fully automatic TORNADO high-speed dry squaring machine. Presented by the historic finishing line brand Ancora, this machine features a high degree of automation and self-adjustment systems that use laser beams to measure the size of the pieces with high precision.
Alongside the SUPERA® belt pressing technology, the Group also presented its TITANIUM 2.0 kilns with best-in-class energy saving and emission reduction performance, as well as its new high-speed sorting lines for large sizes.

Visitors showed strong interest in DRY FIX, another top Projecta machine that applies grit to the ceramic surface to create high-quality textured effects and already boasts more than 100 installations.
The Group also presented a new sorting line solution called MAGISTER which represents a major innovation for the end-of-line stage and can sort large sizes up to 120×120 cm.
At Cersaie, the ceramic design firm Digital Design exhibited products based on its own graphic designs and produced using all the technologies developed by the Group’s subsidiaries.
